Notice Inviting Tender (Global) for Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Automated Mail Processing Systems (AMPS)

Department of Posts (DoP) Government of India proposes to set-up Automated Mail Processing Centres at two locations namely - Delhi and Kolkata in India. The operations to be mechanised are primarily the sorting of mail.

Sealed Tenders are invited, on behalf of the President of India, from the vendors who can undertake the work on turnkey basis. The Original Equipment Manufacturers or their Subsidiary Company in India or their Consortium Partner in India or Joint Venture, who have relevant experience of not less than 5 (Five) years and expertise in supply, Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Equipment for Automated Mail Processing Systems and are interested to participate in the bid, can collect in person or through their authorised representatives, the Bid Document from the undersigned by paying the document fee of Indian Rs. 25000/- (Rs.Twenty five thousand only), in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of Director General, Department of Posts, payable at New Delhi.

The Complete Bid Document is also available on DoP website: http://www.indiapost.gov.in. The Bid Document downloaded from the website shall be valid for participation in the bidding process. Those making use of the Bid Documents downloaded from website shall have to pay the cost of the bid document in the form of a Demand Draft for the value and in favour of as indicated above, to be submitted along with the bid. The Bid received without the requisite fee shall be considered as invalid.

Bid Document shall be available up to 31 July 2008 till 1500 hrs. The Last date of submission of Bid Document is 1 August, 2008 till 1500 hrs.
